Physiotherapy Students’ Effortlessly Master the LymphaTouch

Physiotherapy students at Arcada University used the LymphaTouch device during clinical practice and at an international badminton tournament. After a brief workshop, they quickly adapted to the device, observing rapid results like reduced swelling and muscle relaxation. The device's user-friendly design and portability made it easy to use in various settings. Case report – 27 year old lumpectomy scar

Client came to HLP therapy to see if they could make the difference in the lumpectomy scars. The client has 27 year old breast scar from two lumpectomies in the same scar. The main issues was pinching, tightness, restriction, pain and unable to wear bra correctly.

Case Report – Head and neck lymphedema

Patient is female diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer/ Metastatic differentiated carcinoma and in the past, Hx Lymphoma. Patient was very proactive in sourcing treatment and had just retired from work prior to her diagnosis and was enjoying retirement hobbies such as travel, gardening and home maintenance projects. In the beginning of the therapy she was diagnosed with Stage 1a LE – MDACC rating Scale (soft visible oedema, no pitting, and reversible)

Case report – Treatment of arm after intensive chemo and radiation therapy

The client attended HLP Therapy Limited in August 2022. The previous year, she had undergone a lumpectomy of her left breast, i.e. breast-sparing surgery. After the operation, the client developed significant cording in the left upper limb with hardening and vein shut down in the right upper limb, as a result of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She was unable to use her right side, because of the pain, tightness, and how the arm looked. In addition, significant muscle loss was observed, and the client was unable to go back to work or drive her car. This had a huge detrimental impact on her physical and emotional wellbeing.

LymphaTouch helped professional athlete recover from acute injury

The Finnish cross-country skier was injured as a result of a fall and suffered a serious soft tissue injury to his left thigh. During the first few weeks, the athlete used canes and was able to give them up after a couple of weeks. A challenge to rehabilitation was swelling and interstitial fluid buildup in the injured area, which showed no signs of reduction for after 2.5 weeks after the injury.
